Rolex has unveiled four unique Cosmograph Daytona timepieces for a charity auction, each inspired by a different season and featuring rare gemstones alongside precious metals. The watches will be sold individually at Phillips in London on September 28, 2026, with proceeds benefiting the Federer Foundation and Re: Wild.

Seasonal Designs Reinterpret a Classic Icon

Each Daytona retains the core identity of the Cosmograph line while adopting distinct visual personalities. Rolex achieved this through carefully chosen materials, colors, and textures that depart from the typically restrained aesthetic associated with the brand’s standard references.

The first model combines a platinum case with lapis, creating a deep blue tone that highlights the metal’s cool qualities. A second iteration pairs yellow gold with mookaite and chrysoprase, introducing a warmer, earthy palette. The third watch uses white gold with chrysoprase and lepidolite for softer yet lively shades. The most dramatic piece features Everose gold set with turquoise and ruby, contrasting bright blue and red stones against rose-toned metal.

Charity Auction Aims Beyond Collectible Appeal

Instead of positioning the watches solely as rare collector items, Rolex is channeling their exclusivity toward philanthropy. The Federer Foundation, founded by tennis star Roger Federer, supports early childhood education in Southern Africa and Switzerland. Re: Wild, co-founded by Leonardo DiCaprio and conservation scientists, focuses on biodiversity protection and ecosystem restoration worldwide.

Offering each watch as a separate lot may intensify bidding activity compared to selling them as a unified set. Their distinctive designs, charitable purpose, and connection to one of Rolex’s most iconic models position the London auction as a notable event in the watch world.

Philanthropy and Auction Strategy

The watches will be auctioned separately at Phillips in London on September 28, 2026, with each offered as an individual lot. Proceeds will support the Federer Foundation and Re: Wild, organizations focused on early childhood education and biodiversity conservation respectively.

Continuing Rolex’s Legacy of Craftsmanship

The project reflects Rolex’s ability to reimagine its established icons without compromising built-in quality standards. These timepieces maintain the technical precision expected of the Cosmograph line while pushing creative boundaries through unconventional materials and gem-setting techniques.

Beyond their mechanical excellence, the watches serve as vehicles for social impact. Directing auction proceeds toward education and environmental causes extends their value far past the auction room, aligning luxury collecting with long-term global benefits.
